Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott's Alleged Break Elicits Mixed Reactions on Twitter

Publish date: 2024-06-18

Moments after news broke of Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s tentative split, Twitter users took to the platform with some of the most epic reactions ever.

Jenner belongs to one of the world’s most famous reality TV families, so it’s no surprise that a reported breakup -- though tentative -- with her partner of two years has people talking.

The reactions were varied. Some fans seemed to be happy that Jenner and Scott are now single, suggesting there’s room for new potential suitors.

Most social media users, however, believe the breakup report is only a publicity stunt

"Just heard about Kylie & Travis breaking up," one Twitter user wrote alongside a clip of an excited young man.

Yeah, now

Now is my time

Now is my time"

Some fans appeared genuinely heartbroken that Jenner and Scott, who share one-year-old daughter Stormi, have called it quits.

"Kylie & Travis split????? What in the world?" one panicked while another said: "It better not be true about Kylie & Travis breaking up. My heart will be destroyed."

"I’m so sad about Kylie & Travis don't talk to me," yet another added.

Another insider revealed that Scott has moved out of the house

Most social media users, however, believe the breakup report is only a publicity stunt for "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" or Scott’s new single set to drop this Friday, October 4.

"My thoughts on Kylie & Travis - His album drops on Friday, common kris Jenner works in mysterious ways."

"Now, this whole Kylie & Travis 'Breakup' is a publicity stunt," another echoed.

Although reports of Jenner, 22, and Scott, 28, taking a break, surfaced on Tuesday, TMZ claimed the couple split several weeks ago.

Multiple outlets also reported that Jenner and the "Sicko Mode" rapper had been having trouble in their relationship for some time and decided to step away for now.

"They are taking some time but not done," a source close to the Lip Kit mogul told PEOPLE. "They still have some trust issues, but their problems have stemmed more from the stress of their lifestyles."

Another insider revealed that Scott has moved out of the house he previously shared with Jenner, but Jenner hasn’t stopped him from seeing their daughter whenever he wants to.

The news of their break up came as a shock to many because Jenner and Scott were still together in August for her Italy birthday trip. Later that month, the couple walked the red carpet with Stormi at the premiere of Scott’s Netflix documentary "Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly."

Jenner and Scott started dating in April 2017 and conceived their daughter weeks later. Stormi was born in February of 2018, and her parents have reportedly agreed to split 50/50 custody while they work out their issues.
