Tejano King Suffers Massive Cardiac Arrest Hollywood Life
Sadly, Emilio suffered a massive heart attack, also known as sudden cardiac arrest, according to Univision. Emilio was found unconscious by family members at his home in New Braunfels, Texas, around 8:20pm. Emergency crews arrived and began life-saving measures, but it was too late; once rushed to Resolute Health Hospital, he was pronounced dead, according to the New Braunfels Police Department. This is so incredibly sad!
The “Como Le Haré” singer suffered brain damage and memory loss from a 2008 tour bus crash. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, and it was feared that he wouldn’t survive his injuries; he woke up from a coma after three days. However, it was revealed that Emilio was not licensed and was intoxicated when he crashed the bus; he pled guilty to DUI charges and spent three days in jail and 27 days on house arrest.
A friend of the family confirmed his death on Facebook:
But that incident doesn’t overshadow his accomplishments. He had over ten songs chart on the Latin Billboard charts, and was known as the King of Tejano. He also forged a successful career as a country artist. Emilio leaves behind five children: three from his first marriage to Cynthia Navaira, and two from his second marriage to Maru Navaira. Emilio and Maru were no longer married; the couple divorced in 2011. Rest in peace, Emilio.
HollywoodLifers, our thoughts are with Emilio’s loves ones during this difficult time.
