Did they actually film “Suits” in New York City?

It’s no secret that the fictional law firm from the series is in New York City. There are enough times that the “City That Never Sleeps” flashes on the screen or a character mentions it that you’ll be scratching your head and asking: where was “Suits” filmed?

One of the reasons that we see the city is because, according to IMDB, they filmed the series’ pilot in New York City. However, they filmed the remainder of the series in Toronto.

As you may already know, many television shows and movies are shot in Toronto. Its filming infrastructure and diverse locations mean it can also pass for other places.

Where did they film The Pearson Hardman law office?

Since the show is a legal drama, much of the action takes place in the law office where the main characters work. The beautiful building with a stunning skyline view is sure to inspire the question: where was “Suits” filmed?

The Torontoist reports that the law office is actually the Bay-Adelaide Center in Toronto’s Financial District.

As for how the show is able to pass off that they are in the heart of New York City, the windows on the office set had two large banners – one for the daytime and one for the night. Plenty of shots also include characters walking up to the building or in the lobby of the high-end corporate offices.

Where did they film Harvey’s apartment in “Suits”?

If you know any successful attorneys, then Harvey’s luxury apartment probably didn’t surprise you. Still, the dark leather furnishes and city skyline view are sure to make you ask: where was “Suits” filmed?

According to the Toronto Star, the apartment is in the city’s King West Area. Taking up the entire ninth floor of a 59-floor building, the apartment was up for sale for nearly five million dollars in July. The owners aren’t exactly trying to appeal to any “Suits” superfans and had this to say about the current style: “We decided not make it so masculine so that we’re not driving away part of the market. We’re not trying to recreate Harvey’s condo.”

Along with a built-in irrigation system to allow for plenty of greenery, it’s no wonder this apartment was able to double as the home of a high-powered New York City lawyer.
