Following two seasons on the show, Jenny Campbell has now left Dragons’ Den following the close of the 2019 series.

Jenny became only the sixth female dragon to appear on the show in 2017, sitting beside mainstay Deborah Meaden for in the latest BBC production.

Here is everything we know about Jenny’s net worth and why she decided to leave the show.

What is Jenny Campbell’s Net Worth?

Jenny seems to be a very private person.

Therefore, unlike the other Dragons, we don’t actually have an estimate to what her net worth is.

However, the 56-year-old did previously reveal that she sold a company for £50 million in order to pay off her mortgage. We reckon you could pay off quite a few mortgages with that, Jenny!

How Did Jenny Campbell Get Rich?

Like a lot of successful business people – Lord Alan Sugar, Peter Jones, Duncan Bannatyne – Jenny left school at the age of 16 and began everyday working life.

She then attended night school to study for banking qualifications, passed her exams and secured a role in NatWest’s head office.

The Royal Bank of Scotland’s take over NatWest shook things up a bit and landed Jenny a senior role. However, the 2007 recession pressured RBS into selling a company called Hanco, which Jenny snapped up herself and changed into her own company called YourCash, a cashpoint company.

We figure this is the company she eventually sold for £50 million. However, she is still Chief Executive.

Why Did Jenny Leave Dragons’ Den?

Jenny released a statement explaining that she was stepping down from her role due to commitments with the Prince’s Trust Enterprise Fellowship Programme.

She said:

Having been a fan of Dragons Den since it first aired in 2005 I was absolutely delighted and proud to have the opportunity of becoming a Dragon myself. I have invested in businesses and entrepreneurs who I believe I can add real value to personally, and I look forward to working with each of them closely over the next few years.

Programme Name: Dragons’ Den – TX: 02/09/2018 – Episode: Dragons’ Den 2018 – ep 4 (No. 4) – Picture Shows: (l-r) Barbara Jones and Eileen Sutherland of Straw Works pitching to the Dragons.

It has been a tough decision to step down but I now want to focus on my new role with the Prince’s Trust Enterprise Fellowship Programme which supports young entrepreneurs in setting up and growing their own businesses, as well as help my sons Rik and Tom on their own entrepreneurial journeys.

Who is Jenny Campbell’s Husband?

Jenny is married to husband Andrew, who is now retired after 30 years of service in the RAF.

The two live on a country estate in Suffolk with three beautiful dogs. Oh, they also have two sons named Rik, 29, and Tom, 25. But it’s the dogs we care about more, right?
